Sourcing a Drone Battery

Why Do I Need to Source My Own Battery?

If you're in the United States, you can buy the version of the kit with the battery included.

Otherwise (for now), you'll need to buy the version of the kit without the battery.

This is due to air shipping restrictions on batteries, and we are working to see if we can resolve this. Thank you for your patience as we work this out!

Where Can I Get The Battery?

Amazon has this product here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R7FNL8B

It is also available directly from Hawk's Work: https://www.hawks-work.com/pages/rc-battery-300-ph125

What Are the Battery Specifications?

If the above products are not available to you, you may need to look elsewhere. For your convenience, here are the battery specifications we use.

The μBee drone should be powered by a battery with the following specifications. This is to ensure correct operation as well as a good physical fit.

  • Nominal voltage: 3.7V
  • Number of cells: 1
  • Capacity: 300mAh
  • Power: 1.11Wh (3.7V x 300mAh)

Battery connector polarity must be correct, otherwise you will damage the drone, possibly irreparably. Please note where the red and black ends connect to the drone battery socket. Please pay attention to this, as different batteries have different polarities!
